Meat Loaf

2 eggs
¼ cup ketchup
¼ cup water
½ cup minced onion
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup soft bread crumbs- lightly packed (2 pieces)
1 pound lean ground beef

Beat eggs in a large bowl.
Blend in ketchup, water, onion, Worcestershire Sauce and salt.
Mix in bread crumbs with a fork.
Mix ground beef with other ingredients.
Prepare barbecue sauce.
Pour over meat at bake at 350 degrees for one hour

Barbecue sauce:
1 ½ -2 Tablespoons brown sugar
½ cup ketchup
2 teaspoons prepared mustard or A-1 Steak Sauce

I double the barbecue sauce to have some to put on top before baking and some to serve on the side.
To make it more fun for kids, use a Bundt cake pan to make a meat ring.
For a faster version, use muffin tins, the kids love these serving size ones also.

  1. This is similar to my moms best meat loaf recipe. Try 1 tsp. of sage in the meat omit the worce. and add 1 egg. Add 1/2 tsp on nutmeg in the sauce (she calls it picant sauce) and adds the worce. to the sauce instead of the meat. I'll try it your way too! OUR FAMILY FAVORITE
