The alcohol helps dry the canal and the vinegar acidifies it which inhibits bacterial growth. Cheap and easy!
1 bottle
1 fluid ounce vinegar
1 fluid ounce rubbing alcohol
1.Mix the vinegar and alcohol in a small dropper bottle.
2.After swimming or bathing, dry the ears well and add a few drops to each canal.
3.Remember, don't put anything into your ear canal smaller than your elbow (especially cotton swabs)!

Vinegar/Water solution for cleaning fruits and veggies
I found that a 4-1 water/vinegar solution worked just as well as the expensive fruit and veggie washes. I keep the solution in a spray bottle. I use it to clean anything with a non-porous skin. I also use it for my counter tops. Vinegar has very impressive properties. I feel much better. Especially when I need to zest citrus.
